Good news for those residing in the Klang Valley area. Come this Friday on 10 September, Selangor, KL, and Putrajaya will transition to phase two of the National Recovery Plan (NRP), which will further ease restrictions for fully vaccinated individuals.
This was confirmed by Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob himself. Once Selangor, KL, and Putrajaya transition to phase two of the NRP this Friday, only Johor and Kedah will remain in the first phase.
One of the biggest changes in the second phase of NRP compared to the first is the freedom to cross districts without restriction for fully vaccinated individuals. According to the Prime Minister, no roadblocks will be implemented in the Klang Valley either.
As of 7 September, over 97.8% of adults in the Klang Valley area have been fully vaccinated. As for the whole of Malaysia, 69.6% of the adult population have received their second doses. Those who have received at least one dose, on the other hand, currently stands at 88.9% nationwide.
