Samsung just confirmed an Unpacked event – where the Korean company usually unveils its latest flagship smartphones – for February 2022 next month. Chances are, it’s a launch event for the Galaxy S22 series, which will incorporate some features from the beloved (and likely discontinued) Galaxy Note phones.
In fact, the president and head of MX business at Samsung, TM Roh, said that Samsung will introduce “the most noteworthy S series device we’ve ever created.” Needless to say, this is clearly referencing the incorporation of the Galaxy Note’s features to the Galaxy S series, such as the beloved S Pen.
The teaser for the Unpacked event above is also foreshadowing the same thing. The two phones shown in the video are likely the Galaxy Note and Galaxy S phones; the former is easily recognisable by its angular-looking design. Plus, plenty of leaks have revealed that the S22 Ultra will feature an S Pen.
Nonetheless, these are all leaks and rumours until Samsung itself officially unveils the next Galaxy S series next month in February 2022. If you’ve missed the signature S Pen from the Galaxy Note, you may want to catch this Unpacked event.
