Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 Unleashed – S Pen Support, S22 Camera, Starts at RM6,799 in Malaysia

After much leaks and rumours, here is Samsung’s flagship foldable phone in all its glory. It’s no mystery that the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 sports almost the same design as last year’s Z Fold 3, but it does have some nice incremental upgrades to make it a more complete foldable phone.

First, let’s talk about the local prices of the Galaxy Z Fold 4. It starts at RM6,799 for the base 12GB + 256GB model on our shores, which is a RM100 price increase. As for the 512GB model with the same amount of RAM, it goes for RM7,299 (RM200 increase).

New to the Malaysian market is a whopping 12GB + 1TB configuration of the Z Fold 4; this variant is priced at a cool RM8,299.

For slightly more money than its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 does offer some neat upgrades, including a faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, the S22 and S22+’s triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide angle + 10MP telephoto), as well as reduced bezels surrounding the 120Hz 6.2-inch HD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X cover screen.

Rounding out the specifications of the Z Fold 4 are a 7.6-inch 2640 x 1080 Dynamic AMOLED 2X foldable screen with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate (1~120Hz), a 10MP selfie camera on the cover screen, a 4MP under display camera – it’s said to be less visible now – and a 4,400mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.

Of course, there’s S Pen support too, though the stylus is still not built-in, unfortunately enough.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia on Samsung.com. If you use code AMGZF4VIP at checkout, you can get a Super Fast Wireless Charger Duo worth RM369 with your purchase; a cable and 15W charger are also included.

While the Galaxy Z Fold 4 may not excite with its design, there’s no denying that it is one of the most refined foldable phones in the market now, not to mention the fact that it’s accessible both in terms of general availability and affordability.
