Just last week, Samsung added two new devices to its Galaxy A series, the Samsung Galaxy A54 and the more affordable Galaxy A34. Both devices are now available in Malaysia, and they sport brighter displays with IP67 water resistance ratings – the latter is quite an interesting feature, especially in this segment.
Out of the two phones, the Galaxy A54 is the higher-end device, and its price tag certainly reflects that. For the Malaysian market, the mid-ranger is priced at RM1,899, and it comes with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of expandable storage.
Other specifications of the Galaxy A54 include a Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset, a 6.4-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP primary + 12MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery.
As for the Galaxy A34, it’s slightly more affordable with a RM1,599 price tag. For that kind of money, it features a more modest MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip paired with 8GB RAM and 256GB expandable storage. It also has a 6.6-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (48MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro), a 13MP selfie camera, as well as a 5,000mAh battery.
The new Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 are now available for pre-order in Malaysia; early birds who place their orders by 6 April will even get a Samsung Galaxy Buds Live wireless earbuds worth RM549 for free. You can also use our code AMGA34545G to get a complimentary 35W PD Power Adapter Duo worth RM99 from Samsung’s online store.
As for colour options, both phones are available in Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome Violet, though the Awesome White and Awesome Silver colourways are only available for the Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34 respectively.
