Samsung’s budget-friendly Galaxy A22 smartphone is even more affordable now. Previously, only the 5G version of the device was available for RM999, but this LTE-only model retails at only RM899, saving you RM100.
Aside from the omission of 5G connectivity, this new Galaxy A22 variant has a number of other hardware differences as well. Instead of a 5G-capable MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, for one, this LTE-only model features a Helio G80 SoC instead.
The camera system of the LTE Galaxy A22 is quite different too. Unlike the 5G model’s triple camera system, this LTE variant has a quad camera system made up of a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor, a 2MP macro lens, and 2MP depth camera.
Other specifications of the Galaxy A22 include a 6.4-inch 1600 x 720 Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a generous 5,000mAh battery with 15W fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy A22 is now available for purchase in Malaysia. To recap, it retails at RM899, and those who get the phone by 31 August will also receive a free clear cover casing worth RM39.
