The just-announced Redmi 9T will be coming to Malaysia next week on 15 January. Sporting a very generous 6,000mAh battery and a reasonably good Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 chipset, you may want to consider this phone if you’re looking for a budget-friendly device.
Two variants of the Redmi 9T are offered in Malaysia. The base model with 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM retails at RM599, while the more practical 128GB variant with 6GB of RAM costs RM699. If you need more storage space, you’ll be happy to know that this phone has a microSD card slot.
Given its affordable price tag, the Redmi 9T’s hardware are decidedly mid-range. The main highlight is definitely its generous 6,000mAh battery, which should be able to deliver excellent battery life. If you’re a light smartphone user, it’s very possible to get up to two day of use on a single charge.
Other specifications of the Redmi 9T include a 6.53-inch 1080p notched display, an 11nm Snapdragon 662 octa-core chipset, a quad camera system (48MP f/1.79 primary + 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle + 2MP f/2.4 macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth), an 8MP f/2.05 selfie camera, and MIUI 12 based on Android 10 out of the box.
The Redmi 9T will be available for purchase on Lazada next week on 15 January. To recap, the 64GB + 4GB model costs RM599, while the 128GB + 6GB variant retails at RM699. Four colour options are available: Carbon Grey, Twilight Blue, Sunrise Orange, and Ocean Green.
