Realme X3 SuperZoom Lands in Malaysia for RM1,999

Unveiled to the world just a couple of days ago, the Realme X3 SuperZoom has just landed in Malaysia. Sporting a quad camera system that can do 5x optical zoom along with a fast 120Hz screen, it’s a respectable flagship smartphone that offers pretty good value for money as well.

For the Malaysian market, the X3 SuperZoom retails at only RM1,999 for the 128GB model with 8GB of RAM; it will be available for purchase on 2 June through Lazada. The more generous 256GB variant with 12GB of RAM, on the other hand, goes for RM2,299, and it can be purchased from 6 June onwards.

For that kind of money, the Realme X3 SuperZoom, as mentioned, comes with a rather sophisticated quad camera system. The highlight of this camera configuration is the 8MP f/3.4 telephoto lens with a periscope structure. It offers 5x optical zoom, and it can also do up to 60x zoom; digitally, of course.

The primary sensor of the quad camera setup, on the other hand, is a 64MP f/1.8 shooter, which is complemented by an 8MP f/2.3 ultra-wide angle sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 macro lens. All in all, it’s quite a versatile camera system with plenty of focal lengths to choose from; befitting of a flagship smartphone.

Speaking of versatility, the X3 SuperZoom comes with two front-facing cameras as well. The main sensor is a 32MP f/2.5 unit, and it’s paired with an 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle shooter. This gives you the flexibility to shoot regular selfies with the 32MP camera, and bigger group selfies with the wider 8MP sensor.

Another noteworthy hardware of the Realme X3 SuperZoom is its 6.6-inch 2400 x 1080 screen with a fast 120Hz refresh rate. Thanks to the high refresh rate, motions and animations on this display will look extra smooth, giving the impression of a faster smartphone. That’s not to say this is a sluggish device. After all, it’s powered by the capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chipset.

Other specifications of the X3 SuperZoom include a pretty sizeable 4,200mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging – Realme says this allows the phone to be fully charged in only 55 minutes – a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box.

The Realme X3 SuperZoom with 128GB of storage will be offered in Malaysia first through Lazada on 2 June at 12AM for RM1,999. If you’re quick, you can even get a RM200 discount, bringing down the price to RM1,799. As for the 256GB option, it will be available from 6 June onwards for RM2,299; every purchase of this variant will come with a Realme Buds Air.
