Aside from the budget-friendly Realme Pad, the Chinese company will also introduce the Realme GT Neo 2 in Malaysia next week. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 chipset with a 120Hz screen, it’s a reasonably capable smartphone.
After all, the Snapdragon 870 is essentially a faster version of the Snapdragon 865, Qualcomm’s flagship chipset last year – you can expect to get a good level of performance out of the GT Neo 2. Paired with the phone’s 120Hz 6.62-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED screen, along with a 600Hz touch sampling rate, it’s quite a good device for avid mobile gamers.
Other specifications of the GT Neo 2 include 8GB or 12GB of RAM, two storage options (128GB or 256GB), a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 16MP selfie camera, as well as a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 65W fast charging.
The Realme GT Neo 2 – along with the Realme Pad tablet – will be launched in Malaysia next week on 3 November. We’ll find out then just how much the phone will retail at for the local market.
