Realme C11 With 5,000mAh Battery Now Offers 3GB of RAM for RM479

The Realme C11 was launched here in Malaysia just last month, but at the time, it only came with 2GB of RAM. That’s not an awful lot of RAM, even for an entry-level Android smartphone. Thankfully, you can now get the C11 locally with a much more practical 3GB RAM for not a lot more money.

Originally retailing at RM429 for the 2GB RAM model, the new Realme C11 variant with 3GB of RAM costs RM479. You’re essentially paying RM50 more to get 1GB more RAM, which is definitely worth it for a more pleasant user experience. After all, as apps get more demanding and resource-hungry, you need all the RAM you can get.

Beyond the extra RAM capacity, other specifications of the C11 remain the same. For one, it still features a large 5,000mAh battery that should be able to to deliver excellent battery life on a single charge. In fact, you can even use it as a power bank to charge other devices, thanks to its support for reverse charging.

Besides that, the Realme C11 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 chipset. Sure, it’s a decidedly entry-level chip, but it’s suited for a device at this price point. Plus, the Helio G35 is fabricated on a 12nm process; MediaTek says that this gives the chip good power efficiency, which will further improve the battery life of the C11.

It’s also worth noting that the C11 comes with a 6.5-inch 1600 x 720 display. It would’ve been great if it came with a higher resolution 1080p screen, but that would also take up more power than the 720p panel of the C11. Given that excellent battery life is one of the most highlighted features of this phone – and this is an entry-level device – it’s an understandable compromise.

In the camera department, the Realme C11 comes with two rear cameras: a 13MP f/2.2 primary sensor and a 2MP f/2.4 portrait lens. On the front, it features a 5MP f/2.4 selfie camera. Not the most sophisticated camera system, but it should do in a pinch, especially for a sub-RM500 phone.

Other specifications of the C11 include 32GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a microUSB port, and Realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box.

The new Realme C11 variant with 3GB of RAM will be available for purchase from retail outlets in Malaysia from 15 August onwards for RM479. Alternatively, you can get the C11 online from Realme’s official Lazada store on 28 August; a complimentary Realme Buds 2 will be bundled on that day.
