Razer Blade Gaming Laptops Finally Coming to Malaysia; Starts at RM8,999

Razer’s range of gaming laptops have been absent from the Malaysian market for quite some time, but that’s no longer the case now. We just got word that Razer is finally bringing in the latest Blade gaming laptops to our shores, starting with the Razer Blade 15 and Razer Blade Pro 17.

Let’s start with the more compact gaming machine of the two, the Blade 15. It is offered in two distinct variants: there’s the base model with a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 OLED screen with a 144Hz refresh rate, and the Advanced configuration with a similar screen but with a faster 300Hz refresh rate. It’s worth noting that the 300Hz option is also a touch-enabled screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.

Aside from that, the Blade 15 Advanced comes with an Intel Core i7-10875H processor paired with 16GB of RAM, which should be fast enough for AAA games. Besides that, the Advanced model can be configured with either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super Max-Q or a more powerful RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU. As for storage, it features a 512GB or 1TB SSD.

As for the base model of the Blade 15, it comes with a more modest Core i7-10750H processor paired with 16GB of RAM. Interestingly, it can be purchased with three different GPU options: a GTX 1660 Ti, an RTX 2060 Max-Q, or an RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics card. Aside from that, it is also equipped with a 256GB or 512GB SSD.

Next, we have the bigger Blade Pro 17. All variants of this gaming laptop is powered by a Core i7-10875H processor, including the most affordable model with an RTX 2070 Super Max-Q GPU. This variant also features a fast 300Hz 17.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen, 16GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD storage.

A tier up is the RTX 2080 Super Max-Q model of the Blade Pro 17, which shares the exact same hardware as the aforementioned model except for the choice of GPU (naturally). The range-topping model of the laptop, on the other hand, also features an RTX 2080 Super Max-Q GPU, but it swaps out the display for a sharper 17.3-inch 3840 x 2160 touch-enabled screen, though it’s not quite as fast with a 120Hz refresh rate.

On top of that, the top-of-the-line configuration features a more generous 1TB SSD as well.

According to Razer, the Razer Blade 15 and Razer Blade Pro 17 are now available for purchase in Malaysia from selected retailers. The Blade 15 retails from RM8,999, while the Blade Pro 17 starts at RM12,499.
