Leaked back in May, the Proton X70 SE is now official. Limited to only 2,000 units, the special edition C-segment SUV is based on the Premium trim of the regular model, and it comes with several cosmetic changes for a slight premium – it is priced at RM123,800.
Compared to the regular Premium X70 (RM113,100), the X70 SE costs RM10,700 more, though you do get several upgrades for the money. Among them are new 19-inch alloy wheels with the very same design found on the Geely Boyue Pro, the facelifted model of the Boyue – the X70 is based on the latter.
Aside from that, the X70 SE also has a blacked-out roof and side mirrors with two colour options: Ocean Blue (the same shade offered for the X50 and Iriz) and Ruby Red. Of course, there’s also an SE badge on the rear end.
Other specifications of the X70 SE include black nappa leather seats, a slightly different interior finishing compared to the regular model, the same 1.8L turbocharged direct injection engine with 181hp and 300Nm of torque, as well as a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The Proton X70 SE is now available for booking online through here; you only need to pay a RM99 booking fee. Given that there are only 2,000 units offered, you may want to act fast to secure the special edition SUV.
