The Poco F3 GT has just been launched in India, and it’s quite an intriguing smartphone with some gaming-centric features. Not only does it have a reasonably powerful chipset, it also features a fast screen with a high touch response rate and shoulder buttons.
Just like the recently unveiled OnePlus Nord 2 5G, the Poco F3 GT is powered by MediaTek’s fast Dimensity 1200 chipset, which is said to be comparable to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870.
Given that the Snapdragon 870 is a faster version of the Snapdragon 865 – Qualcomm’s 2020 flagship SoC – you can expect to get a very good level of performance with the Dimensity 1200.
Aside from that, the F3 GT also features a 6.67-inch Turbo AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, along with a high 480Hz touch response rate to minimise input lag. Paired with the two “Maglev” shoulder buttons on the right side of the phone, mobile gamers will appreciate these gaming-centric features.
Other specifications of the F3 GT include 6GB or 8GB of RAM, two storage options (128GB or 256GB), a triple camera system (64MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide angle + 2MP macro), a 16MP selfie camera, and a generous 5,065mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
The Poco F3 GT is currently only available in India with a 26,999 Indian rupee (about RM1,530) starting price. No word yet on the Malaysian availability of the phone, but we reckon Poco will bring in F3 GT in due time.
