As expected, Perodua has surpassed its 2022 annual sales target, which was set at 247,800 units. Between January to November 2022, the national carmaker has sold a whopping 250,795 units – this is the highest sales figure the company has achieved, and it has another month of sales to go.
“This sales achievement is on the back of our production achievement so far this year, which numbered 258,960 units. We also achieved our highest monthly production ever since inception at 29,149 units,” said the president and CEO of Perodua, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad.
In November 2022 itself, Perodua registered 28,592 units, a new monthly sales record for the carmaker. The company’s best-selling cars last month were the Bezza with 8,089 units, followed by the Myvi (6,624 units) and Axia (5,812 units).
Perodua said that it will do its best to ensure that customers who have placed their bookings by 30 June 2022 will receive their cars by 31 March 2023 next year. After all, that is the deadline given by the government to be eligible for sales tax exemption.
