Perodua SST Price Increase: 2022 Myvi up to RM1.1k More, Ativa up by RM1k to RM1.4k

Perodua also updated the price list of its cars with SST applied, now that the sales tax exemption on CKD and CBU vehicles have ended. While most of the national carmaker’s models simply reverted to pre-SST prices, two of them – the 2022 Myvi facelift and Ativa – do not have this, since they were introduced in the tax-free period.

As the comparison table below shows, the new Myvi is up to RM1,100 more expensive now, which naturally applies to the range-topping AV variant. Other models see between RM800 to RM1,000 price hikes, which slightly increases the starting price of the popular B-segment hatchback to RM46,500.

As for the Ativa, prices are up between RM1,000 to RM1,400, so the most affordable X variant now starts at RM62,500. Do note that depending on your paint choice, the prices will increase accordingly. Going with a “Special Metallic” colour, for example, is a RM500 premium; RM800 if you want the dual-tone colourway for the AV trim.

If you’ve placed your booking for a Perodua model (or any car model) by 30 June, you will not be affected by these new prices. You’ll still get to enjoy the tax-free prices as long as your car is registered – that is, when you actually receive your unit – by 31 March 2023 next year.
