It’s well-known that the 10th generation Honda Civic FC – despite its aggressive styling – is one of the most popular C-segment sedans in Malaysia and the global stage. In fact, Honda Malaysia just shared that over 66,600 units of the Civic FC have been sold locally since its introduction in 2016.
Ever since the Civic was introduced in Malaysia back in 2001, Honda Malaysia has sold close to 148,000 units of the C-segment sedan. The fact that the 10th gen Civic alone contributes 45% of this figure really shows just how popular the model is here in Malaysia.
Speaking of which, as of October 2021, the Civic actually makes up 71% of the C-segment sedan market share, making it the leader of the segment. “The Civic has a strong identity and is one of the favourite Honda model for Malaysians who loves a car with exceptional styling and powerful performance,” said the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Madoka Chujo.
With the 11th generation Civic just around the corner with its more mature styling and improved equipment – including a slightly more powerful turbo engine – there’s a good chance the C-segment sedan will continue to lead the market.
