Oppo launched another mid-range phone in Malaysia, the Oppo Reno 8 T. Sporting a sleek-looking design with two distinct variants to choose from, the affordable mid-ranger is meant to appeal to folks who are on a tight budget.
Of the two versions of the Reno 8 T offered in Malaysia, the 4G model with a MediaTek Helio G99 processor is the more budget-friendly option with a RM1,399 price tag. The higher-end 5G variant, on the other hand, features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset for RM1,799. Both models come with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.

Aside from a different chipset, the 5G variant of the Reno 8 T has a slew of other upgrades too. These include a faster 6.7-inch 1080p dual-curve AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a more sophisticated triple camera system (108MP primary + 2MP depth + 2MP microlens), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 4,800mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging.
Positioned at a lower price point, the Reno 8 T 4G has a more modest set of hardware. It sports a 6.43-inch 1080p flat AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, a slightly different triple camera setup (100MP primary + 2MP depth + 2MP microlens), also a 32MP selfie camera, and curiously, a larger 5,000mAh battery, though it doesn’t come with 67W fast charging.

The Oppo Reno 8 T 5G is now available for pre-order in Malaysia for RM1,799 until 10 February 2023; early birds who purchase the phone can get freebies worth RM377, including Oppo Enco Buds 2 wireless earbuds, a one-year screen protection, and a one-year extended warranty. As for the 4G variant, it will hit store shelves on 11 February 2023 for RM1,399.
