Oppo just launched its latest flagship smartphone, the Oppo Find X5 Pro. Sporting the Chinese company’s latest MariSilicon X Imaging NPU, the X5 Pro promises improved camera performance, especially when shooting low light 4K videos.
According to Oppo, the MariSilicon X NPU allows the Find X5 to shoot night videos in 4K with “less grain and superior colour reproduction,” thanks to the use of an advanced AI noise reduction algorithm designed by the Oppo Research Institute.
Of course, whether or not this is the case, we’ll have to reserve judgment until we can try out the phone for ourselves.
Aside from that, the Find X5 Pro has a triple camera system made up of a 50MP primary camera – complete with a “first-of-its-kind” five-axis OIS system for more stable videos and sharper still photos – a 50MP ultra-wide angle lens, and a 13MP telephoto camera with 5x hybrid zoom. It also features Hasselblad Natural Colour Calibration in Pro Mode for…well, more accurate colour reproduction.
Naturally, the Find X5 Pro is also powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset for flagship-tier performance. After all, it’s said to offer 30% improved GPU performance while sporting 25% better power efficiency, thanks to its 4nm manufacturing process.
Rounding out the specifications of the Find X5 Pro include a 6.7-inch WQHD+ curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, a generous 5,000mAh battery with support for 80W SuperVOOC fast charging, an IP68 rating, a ceramic back, and ColorOS 12.1 based on Android 12 out of the box.
No word yet on the Malaysian availability of the Oppo Find X5 Pro, but given Oppo’s large presence locally, we reckon it’s only a matter of time before the flagship phone is launched on our shores.
