NovelKeys NK87 Entry Edition Now Available for $135 – Custom TKL Keyboard

The affordable NovelKeys NK87 Entry Edition custom keyboard is now available for purchase! Not only is it a budget-friendly TKL keyboard with great value for money, it looks to be quite a compelling keyboard too.

So how much does the NK87 Entry cost? Well, it retails at only $135, which comes up to about RM565. Given the features of this TKL keyboard, you’re really getting your money’s worth here – even a carrying case and a coiled USB-C cable are included in that price.

For that kind of money, the NK87 Entry uses a modified top-mount system with a number of silicones to enhance the sound profile of the keyboard. There are eight “thock absorber” silicone strips between the plate and top case, as well as two silicone dampening pads; one on the bottom, and another one between the plate and PCB.

Other specifications of the NK87 Entry include a polycarbonate case, a polycarbonate plate, a VIA-compatible hotswap PCB, as well as NovelKeys’ own screw-in stabilisers. As with most keyboard kits, you’ll need to get switches and keycaps to complete the build.

The NovelKeys NK87 Entry Edition is now available for purchase on the vendor’s online store. At the time of writing, four colours are in stock: Black, Beige, Atomic Purple, and Blumen. The Smoke and Frost colourways, on the other hand, will only be restocked sometime in Q1 2022.
