Aside from its range of gaming laptops, Illegear sells quite a number of different gaming monitors too, including the refreshed Illegear Apex 27. Now sporting a different stand design with some changes here and there, the new gaming monitor still retains the previous model’s price tag.

For the Malaysian market, the Apex 27 is still priced at RM1,199, so the monitor’s value proposition is quite good. For that kind of money, you’re getting a fast 165Hz WQHD (2560 x 1440) gaming monitor with a 27-inch panel that meets 100% of the sRGB colour space. It also has a peak brightness of 400 nits.

Of course, the Apex 27’s new stand is still screwless with a range of adjustment options. Aside from its height adjustment, it can also be tilted, rotated, and swiveled. It also has two DisplayPort 1.4 connections now – the previous model only offered DisplayPort 1.2 – along with two HDMI 2.0 ports.

The Illegear Apex 27 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through the company’s online store for RM1,199. If you plan to buy the gaming monitor with cash, you can actually get it for RM1,140 instead – that’s RM59 worth of savings.
