MSI Launches GT76 Titan & GE65 Raider Gaming Laptops in Malaysia

MSI just released two new gaming laptops for the Malaysian market. There’s the big and powerful GT76 Titan, as well as the more subdued (but still very capable) GE65 Raider. Impressively, both laptops can be bought with very fast 240Hz displays.

Looking at the hardware under the hood of these two laptops, it’s no surprise that they cost quite a bit of money too. But if you want a high-end gaming laptop, these two machines fit the bill, especially if you want the fast 240Hz screen.

Let’s start with the more powerful laptop, the GT76 Titan. It comes with an overclockable Intel Core i9-9900K or i7-9700K processor paired with up to 64GB of RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 or RTX 2070 GPU, two 512GB NVMe PCIe SSDs in Super Raid 4, and a 1TB 7200rpm HDD. Very generous storage options there.

In the display department, the GT76 has two different screen options, depending on which variant you get. The Core i9 model has a sharp 17.3-inch 4K panel, while the Core i7 variant features a 1080p screen with a fast 240Hz refresh rate. According to MSI, you’ll get “close to 100% SRGB” colour coverage with both displays. Despite the thin bezels, the webcam is still placed at the top of the screen.

Two variants of the GT76 Titan are available in Malaysia. The Core i9 variant with a 4K display, an RTX 2080 GPU, and 64GB RAM retails at RM20,999. The Core i7 model with a 1080p 240Hz screen, an RTX 2070 GPU, and 32GB of RAM, on the other hand, goes for RM14,999.

And then we have the more affordable GE65 Raider. It’s equipped with a 15.6-inch 1080p 240Hz display (yes there’s only a single option here), a Core i7-9750H processor paired with 16GB of RAM, an RTX 2070 or RTX 2060 GPU, as well as a 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD. It’s a decidedly more modest offering next to the GT76, but in turn, it doesn’t cost quite as much either.

Just like the GT76, two variants of the GE65 Raider are offered in Malaysia. The RTX 2070 model is priced at RM9,899, while the RTX 2060 variant can be yours for RM8,099. Note that it is only the choice of GPU that differentiates the two models.

As mentioned, both of these laptops are not particularly affordable, but they do have very capable hardware. On top of that, the 240Hz display and 1TB SSD do not come cheap either. Besides, not many laptops come with 240Hz screens now too.

If you’re interested to get either one of these two gaming laptops, they are now available for purchase in Malaysia.
