MBSJ Adds Honda Civic FE Patrol Car – Mid-Tier V Model With 1.5L Turbo Engine

It appears another Honda Civic model is added to Malaysia’s law enforcement. While the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) gets the previous generation Civic FC, the Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) receives the latest Honda Civic FE. It’s the mid-tier V model too instead of the base E variant.

The Civic FE was delivered to MBSJ by Shared Auto Cars, a Honda dealership based in Shah Alam. The C-segment sedan will be used by the city council for patrol and enforcement traffic escort duties, and it has a rather striking livery with the MBSJ crest featured on either sides of the car.

Under the hood of the Civic FE in V trim is none other than a 1.5L turbo engine that outputs a respectable 182PS and 240Nm of torque paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). It also gets pretty sizeable 17-inch alloy wheels. To put this into context, the base E model rides on smaller 16-inch wheels, while the fancier RS variant features 18-inch alloys.

It wasn’t mentioned how many units of the Honda Civic FE were delivered to MBSJ. If you frequently visit Subang Jaya, there’s a good chance you’ll see the white Civic around the city.
