Launched globally exactly a month ago, the M2-powered MacBook Air will be available for purchase in Malaysia tomorrow! Orders of the sleek new MacBook will be open on 8 July through Apple’s Malaysian online store at 8PM, so mark your calendars.
Given its premium appeal, the updated MacBook Air does not come cheap. For our market, the base model starts at RM5,499, and it features an M2 chip with an 8-core CPU and GPU, 8GB of unified memory, as well as a 256GB SSD. A tier up is the RM6,699 model, which offers a faster 10-core GPU and a 512GB SSD.

Naturally, the all-new MacBook Air retains its thin and light design. With a 11.3mm thin chassis, this is without a doubt a portable laptop. But how much does it weigh? Well, it tips the scales at only 1.2kg – this is a very much a lightweight laptop.
Aside from its portable nature, the new MacBook Air also gets a larger 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display – complete with a notch – a very respectable battery life of up to 18 hours, as well as up to 24GB of memory and 2TB SSD storage. Oh, the MagSafe charger makes a return too.

The MacBook Air 2022 will be available for purchase on Apple’s online store on 8 July tomorrow at 8PM. If this MacBook doesn’t quite fit your budget, you can always opt for the more affordable M1 model. Yes, it will continue to be sold alongside the newer M2 Air.
