We’ve just received an invite from Lenovo Malaysia for the local launch of its first-ever gaming smartphone, the Lenovo Legion Phone Duel. Set to take place next week on 20 October, we’ll finally learn more about the local availability and pricing of the gaming phone then.
What makes the Legion Phone Duel particularly unique is its design; more specifically, the placement of its 20MP selfie camera. It’s hidden underneath a pop-up mechanism on the right side of the phone, so when you’re gaming with the phone in landscape mode, the camera won’t be obstructed by your hands. This is purposely designed with streamers in mind.
Aside from that, under the hood of the Legion Phone Duel are naturally very beefy hardware. Not only is it equipped with Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 865+ chipset, it also comes with a 6.65-inch 2340 x 1080 AMOLED display with a high 144Hz refresh rate. Mobile gamers will definitely appreciate this fast screen.
Other specifications of the Legion Phone Duel include 12GB or 16GB of RAM, two UFS 3.1 storage options (256GB or 512GB), two rear cameras (64MP f/1.89 primary + 16MP f/2.2 ultra-wide angle), as well as a generous 5,000mAh battery. The 512GB variant of the gaming phone also supports 90W fast charging, which can fully charge the phone in only 30 minutes.
The Lenovo Legion Phone Duel will be launched in Malaysia next week on 20 October. Stay tuned to Nextrift then for the local price and availability of the gaming phone!
