The higher-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max have just been unleashed, and it brings a slew of new upgrades to the table. These include a blazing fast A17 Pro chip, a 12MP periscope camera for improved zoom performance, and of course, a USB-C port with faster transfer speeds.
Built on a power-efficient 3nm process, the Apple A17 Pro is said to be the most powerful chip found in a smartphone. The performance level of the chip even allows Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 4 to be playable on the iPhone 15 Pro models; titles that were previously exclusive to consoles and PC.
In the camera department, the iPhone 15 Pro Max gets a new periscope telephoto lens that enables 5x optical zoom, while the iPhone 15 Pro soldiers on with a 12MP telephoto sensor that does 3x optical zoom. There’s also a new 48MP primary camera with a larger sensor for better low light performance, along with an improved 12MP ultra-wide shooter.
For the US market, the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will start at $999 and $1,199 respectively; these prices are said to be the same as last year’s equivalent models. As for the Malaysian pricing of the two iPhones, it should be revealed very, very soon.
