Illegear unveiled three new gaming laptops – with different display sizes – powered by Nvidia’s latest RTX 40 series GPUs. These include the Mach 15, Onyx 2023, and the largest machine of the bunch, the Sapphire GX.
Let’s start with the most compact (and affordable) laptop of the lot, the Mach 15. Retailing from RM3,999, the base model features a fast 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate, an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS processor paired with 8GB DDR5 RAM, a 512GB NVMe SSD, and an RTX 3050 GPU (4GB GDDR6).
If you want to fit an RTX 4050 GPU (6GB GDDR6) to the Mach 15 instead, it’s a RM799 upgrade.
If you want a slightly bigger machine with more power, there’s the Onyx 2023. The Onyx VX is the AMD version with a RM4,999 starting price, and it comes with a Ryzen 7 7735HS processor paired with 8GB DDR5 RAM, a 16-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, an RTX 4050 GPU (6GB GDDR6) – upgradable to an RTX 4060 (8GB GDDR6) for RM699 – and a 512GB NVMe SSD.
As for the Intel variant, the Onyx GX, it starts at RM12,599 for a fast Intel Core i9-13900HX processor paired with 16GB DDR5 RAM, an RTX 4080 GPU (12GB GDDR6), a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS screen with a 240Hz refresh rate, and a 512GB NVMe SSD.
Last but not least is the Sapphire GX. The RM12,999 base model is packed with a sizeable 17-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate, a Core i9-13900HX processor paired with 16GB DDR5 RAM, an RTX 4080 GPU (12GB GDDR6), and a 512GB NVMe SSD.
The Illegear Mach 15, Onyx 2023, and Sapphire GX are all available for purchase now through Illegear’s online store. Those who place their orders by 12 March 2023 can get RAM and SSD upgrades worth RM577 to RM2,237, depending on which laptop you get.
