Huawei P50 Pro Silver Blue Now in Malaysia – Price Revised to RM3,699

Aside from the Huawei Mate Xs 2 foldable phone, the Chinese company also announced the arrival of the Huawei P50 Pro in Silver Blue for the Malaysian market. On top of that, the retail price of the phone has been revised too.

Previously priced at RM4,199, the P50 Pro will now go for RM3,699 in Malaysia; that’s a pretty big RM500 price cut. As for the new Silver Blue colour option, it is available for pre-order now until 3 June. Early birds will even get a complimentary Huawei Band 6.

For the Malaysian market, the P50 Pro is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 4G chipset. That’s right, as its name suggests, it does not support 5G networks. Of course, for markets where 5G connectivity is not widespread yet – such as Malaysia – this is not a big deal, though it’s definitely an omission worth pointing out.

The quad camera system of the P50 Pro is one of its main selling points. It’s made up of a 50MP primary shooter, a 40MP monochrome sensor, a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens, and of course, a 64MP telephoto camera that can do up to 100x digital zoom.

Other specifications of the P50 Pro include a 6.6-inch Full HD+ OLED dual curved screen with a fast 120Hz refresh rate, a 13MP selfie camera, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal storage, a 4,360mAh battery, an IP68 rating, and HarmonyOS 2 (still based on Android) out of the box.

To recap, the Huawei P50 Pro now retails at only RM3,699 in Malaysia. The new Silver Blue colourway is also available for pre-order locally until 3 June 2022.
