Huawei MateBook D 16 Pre-Orders Open in Malaysia – 12th Gen Intel, 3 Variants From RM3,699

At the Huawei APAC Smart Office launch in Bangkok, Thailand, the company also launched the Huawei MateBook D 16 for the region. On top of that, pre-orders of the laptop are also now open in Malaysia.

Three variants of the MateBook D 16 are offered for the Malaysian market. The base model with an Intel Core i5-12450H processor, 8GB of RAM, and a 512GB SSD goes for RM3,699. If you want more RAM, you can upgrade the RAM capacity to 16GB for an extra RM300, bringing up the price to RM3,999.

As for the range-topping Core i7-12700H configuration with 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD, it’s priced at RM4,799. For that kind of money, the MateBook D 16 offers a large 16-inch 1920 x 1200 display with a 16:10 aspect ratio, so it’s not as narrow as a more conventional 16:9 panel.

The taller 16:10 aspect ratio of the D 16’s display will come in handy for productivity tasks, as you get more vertical screen real esate to work with. Other specifications of this laptop include Intel UHD Graphics or Iris Xe integrated GPU, a 1080p webcam, a 60Wh battery, and Windows 11 Pro out of the box.

The Huawei MateBook D 16 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 5 August 2022. The Core i5 8GB + 512GB model costs RM3,699, while the Core i5 16GB + 512GB variant goes for RM3,999. The highest-end Core i7 16GB + 512GB configuration, on the other hand, is priced at RM4,799.
