Huawei Launches FreeClip, MateBook D 16 & MatePad Pro 13.2″ in Malaysia

Huawei just launched a number of new products in Malaysia. These include the Huawei FreeClip wireless earbuds, the Huawei MateBook D 16 laptop, and the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2″ tablet. All of these products are now available for pre-order in Malaysia – except for the FreeClip, which is on sale already – with some attractive freebies.

Huawei FreeClip

Out of the three products launched today, the Huawei FreeClip is the only one that’s available for purchase immediately. Priced at RM899, the open-ear wireless earbuds are offered in two colours: Purple and Black. Free gifts worth up to RM367 are also offered with every purchase of the FreeClip until 9 February 2024.

What makes the FreeClip particularly unique is its C-bridge design, giving the earbuds an earring-like aesthetic when worn. It also has up to eight hours of battery life on a single charge for a total of 36 hours of use when paired with the charging case, a 10.8mm dual-magnet driver, as well as an IP54 rating.

Huawei MateBook D 16

Next, we have the Huawei MateBook D 16 laptop. As many as four different variants are offered, starting with the 12th gen Intel Core i5 base model with 8GB RAM and 512GB SSD for RM2,899. If you want more RAM, the same configuration with 16GB of RAM instead can be yours for RM3,199.

For those who want a newer processor, consider the 13th gen Intel Core i5 model of the MateBook D 16 for RM3,699; this configuration features 16GB RAM and a 1TB SSD too. As for the range-topping 13th gen Core i9 model with 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD, it’s priced at RM5,299.

Pre-orders of the MateBook D 16 until 18 January (2 February for the Core i9 model) will be bundled with freebies worth up to RM2,144, including a printer or Huawei Eyewear.

Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2

Last but not least is the Huawei MatePad Pro 13.2″. Two variants of the tablet are available in Malaysia: the 12GB + 256GB model retails at RM4,599, while the 12GB + 512GB configuration goes for RM4,999.

For that kind of money, the MatePad Pro 13.2″ features a Kirin 9000W chipset, a 13.2-inch 2880 x 1920 OLED display, a dual camera system (13MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide), a 16MP selfie camera, a 10,100mAh battery, and HarmonyOS 4 out of the box.

In terms of pre-order goodies, the MatePad Pro 13.2″ gets the highest valued items, which are worth up to RM3,145. These include a Smart Magnetic Keyboard case, Huawei M-Pencil, and even a Huawei FreeBuds Pro 2.
