Hu Tao Banner Returns to Genshin Impact on 2 November With Thoma, Sayu, Diona

Hu Tao’s event wish is returning to Genshin Impact tomorrow on 2 November! The 5-star Pyro character’s rerun banner will be accompanied by Thoma – a brand new 4-star Pyro character – Sayu, as well as Diona.

Just like Genshin Impact’s previous character event wishes, the “drop rate” of Hu Tao, Thoma, Sayu, and Diona will be increased. In the case of Hu Tao, the first 5-star character you get will have a 50% chance to be her. If it’s not her, the next 5-star character you roll is guaranteed to be Hu Tao.

Since Genshin Impact’s pity system ensures that you will get at least one 5-star character or weapon every 90 wishes – depending on which banner you’re rolling – you will have to do 180 rolls for a guaranteed Hu Tao. The same rule applies to 4-star characters (guaranteed every 10 roll instead), but given that there are three of them featured in the banner, it’s a little bit more random.

Basically, when you’re guaranteed a 4-star character from the banner, you will get either Thoma, Sayu, or Diona. If you’re aiming to get either one of these three characters – especially Thoma, since he’s new – you will likely have to roll a good number of times, depending on your luck.

Hu Tao’s “Moment of Bloom” event wish will go live on Genshin Impact tomorrow on 2 November at 6PM for us here in Malaysia. Her banner will be available until 23 November, so you’ve got ample time to farm up Primogems for a chance to get Hu Tao or Thoma.
