HP ZBook Firefly G8 Mobile Workstation Now in Malaysia From RM5,959

If you’re looking for a premium, portable mobile workstation, consider the new HP ZBook Firefly G8. Now available here in Malaysia, this premium laptop offers a number of features creative professionals will appreciate, including a colour-accurate display.

There are two distinct variants of the ZBook Firefly G8 for the Malaysian market: the 14-inch configurations retail from RM5,959, while the larger 15.6-inch models start at RM6,133. However, at the time of writing, only one configuration of the 15.6-inch model is available for purchase on HP Malaysia’s online store.

We were told that other models of the Firefly G8 will (usually) be restocked within two to three days, so there’s a chance other variants of the laptop will be available for purchase later this week.

Anyway, aside from the larger display, both models of the ZBook Firefly G8 share the same hardware. These include Intel’s latest 11th generation Core i5 or Core i7 processors, a 14-inch or 15.6-inch 1080p “DreamColor” IPS display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space, and two GPU options: Nvidia T500 or Quadro T1000.

Other specifications of the ZBook Firefly G8 include 8GB or 16GB of RAM, 256GB or 512GB of SSD storage, Windows 10 Pro out of the box, as well as a chassis that measures only 17.95mm thin. The Firefly G8 is quite lightweight too: the 14-inch model weighs 1.35kg, while the 15.6-inch model tips the scales at 1.7kg.

The HP ZBook Firefly G8 is now available for purchase on HP Malaysia’s online store. Although only one model of the 15.6-inch version is in stock right now, other configurations of the mobile workstation could be restocked in the next few days.
