A number of laptops powered by Intel’s latest 11th generation processors are slowly making their way into Malaysia, and the latest one to arrive here is the HP Envy 13. Sporting a rather sleek-looking design with a dedicated GPU and Microsoft Office pre-installed, it’s quite an interesting productivity laptop.
We spotted the Malaysian availability of the new Envy 13 from renowned retailer Tech Hypermart. Two variants of the laptop are offered in Malaysia: the base model with a Core i5-1135G7 processor paired with 8GB of RAM retails at RM4,499, while the higher-end Core i7-1165G7 configuration with 16GB of RAM costs RM5,499.
Basically, you’re paying RM1,000 extra to get the Envy 13 with a more powerful processor and double the RAM. As mentioned, this laptop also comes with Microsoft Office Home & Student 2019 pre-installed, which makes it ideal for folks who need access to the software for productivity tasks.
Other specifications of the Envy 13 include a 13.3-inch 1920 x 1080 IPS screen, an Nvidia GeForce MX450 dedicated GPU, 512GB of SSD storage, as well as a 51WHr battery that can be charged up to 50% in 30 minutes. Weighing 1.3kg with a 16.9mm chassis, it’s quite a portable laptop too.
