Rounding out the four new devices Honor Malaysia introduced on our shores are the Honor X9 and Honor X9 5G. Retailing from RM1,099, these two phones are higher-end offerings compared to the Honor X8 and Honor X7.
Let’s start with the more affordable Honor X9. Priced at RM1,099, it comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, along with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, a 90Hz 6.81-inch 1080p LCD display, a quad camera system (64MP primary + 8MP wide-angle + 2MP bokeh + 2MP macro), and a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
The Honor X9 5G, on the other hand, retails at RM1,299. Given its higher asking price, it is also better-equipped, packing a Snapdragon 695 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM, a 6.81-inch FHD+ LCD display with a higher 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a 4,800mAh battery with 66W fast charging.
Rounding out the specifications of the X9 5G include a triple camera system (48MP primary + 2MP depth + 2MP macro) – yes, it has a less sophisticated camera array compared to the standard Honor X9 – a 16MP selfie camera, and 128GB of internal storage.
The Honor X9 5G is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 6 April for RM1,299; early birds will receive a Honor Choice Earbuds X, a case, six months screen crack protection, and a one-year extended warranty worth RM516 in total. As for the Honor X9, it can be purchased from 14 April onwards for RM1,099.
