Honor MagicWatch 2 Now in Malaysia for RM699

Honor just launched its latest smartwatch in Malaysia, the Honor MagicWatch 2. However, the Chinese company is only bringing in the 46mm model at the moment; the Flax Brown (46mm) and 42mm models will only be made available here at a later date.

Nonetheless, the MagicWatch 2 is quite an interesting smartwatch. One of the best selling points of the wearable is its quoted battery life. According to Honor, it can last up to 14 days on a single charge. For a smartwatch, that’s very impressive battery life.

Of course, that level of battery life is only applicable to the 46mm model, which is the only variant introduced in our market at this point in time. If you’re curious, the 42mm version only has a quoted battery life of seven days.

Design wise, the MagicWatch 2 is a handsome smartwatch. In fact, it looks almost like a traditional wristwatch, thanks to its stainless steel case. It looks premium, classy, and more importantly, it doesn’t look like a gadget on your wrist. An important requirement for certain folks, we imagine.

The best smartwatches have AMOLED displays for great screen quality, so naturally, the MagicWatch 2 has such a panel. Sporting a 1.4-inch 454 x 454 circular AMOLED display, expect it to be bright, vibrant, and pleasant to look at.

Oh, this smartwatch also has a 5 ATM water resistance rating, so you can submerge it up to 50m underwater for up to 10 minutes. If you plan to wear it for a quick swim, you won’t have to worry about taking it off.

Another feature of the MagicWatch 2 that’s worth highlighting is music streaming. That’s right, you can stream music straight from the smartwatch itself to a pair of wireless earphones. Sure, this particular feature isn’t unique to the MagicWatch 2, but it’s certainly a nice thing to have.

That being said, do note that music streaming with the wearable isn’t available if you pair it with an iOS device. Unfortunately, it’s an Android-only feature.

Other specifications of the MagicWatch 2 include a Kirin A1 chipset, 4GB of internal storage, a 455mAh battery (215mAh for the 42mm model), a heart rate sensor, and a speaker. On top of that, it also has a built-in microphone, making it possible to make a phone call with just the watch.

The Honor MagicWatch 2 is now available for purchase in Malaysia from Honor’s official website, Shopee, as well as Honor Experience Stores nationwide for RM699. Again, that’s for the 46mm model; the Flax Brown model of the same size will be coming at a later date for RM749, while the upcoming 42mm variant has no official pricing yet.
