Honda just announced a new colour option for two of its models: the popular Honda Civic C-segment sedan and the Honda BR-V seven-seater MPV. This new paint job is Platinum White Pearl, which is actually replacing the White Orchid Pearl colour.
First introduced on the Honda Odyssey and 10th generation Honda Accord, the Platinum White Pearl colour is said to be well-received by Honda customers. In fact, 33% of Accord buyers went with this colour option, which does show the popularity of the paint job.
“The glossy finish of the new Platinum White Pearl not only highlights the elegant look of the cars, it also accentuates the bodyline for a sleek and smooth exterior,” said the managing director and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Toichi Ishiyama.
Honda also took the opportunity to highlight that both the Civic and BR-V are leading their respective segments “with substantial contribution to the total Honda Malaysia’s overall sales.” According to Honda Malaysia’s last report, as many as 2,900 units of the C-segment sedan have been delivered as of June 2020.
As usual, opting for the new Platinum White Pearl colour for the Civic or BR-V entails a RM272.73 surcharge. The new colour option is now available for the Civic, while the BR-V will be offered in this shade sometime in November.
