Genshin Impact 2.8 Livestream Set for 2 July – Kazuha Banner Rerun?

Hoyoverse just announced the livestream for Genshin Impact 2.8. Set to take place this Saturday on 2 July, both Kaedehara Kazuha and Fischl (along with the Traveler) are featured in the teaser image. On top of that, there appears to be a mysterious character in the picture too.

The unknown character can be seen in the lower right corner of the teaser image below. It doesn’t look like any existing character in Genshin Impact – to our knowledge, anyway – so it could either be a completely new one…or a different outfit for a specific character.

Anyway, given that Kazuha is featured in the teaser, we could be seeing a rerun of the 5-star Anemo character in Version 2.8 of Genshin Impact. There’s a good chance Shikanoin Heizou will also be a playable character in the new update, given that he was teased by Hoyoverse in May last month.

Version 2.8 of Genshin Impact looks to be dubbed Summer Fantasia, so we can expect to see in-game events with a…well, summer theme. As with previous version update livestreams, redemption codes offering Primogems will be given during the stream as well.
