DJI just released a new product, the DJI RS 3 Mini, and it looks to be the perfect stabiliser for those who are looking for a lightweight, portable option. After all, it weighs just 795g, and it can carry a payload of up to 2kg.
According to DJI, this makes the RS 3 Mini ideal for supporting mainstream mirrorless cameras and lenses. Some examples include a Sony A7S3 with a 24-70mm f/2.8 GM lens or a Canon EOS R5 paired to an RF24-70mm f/2.8 STM lens. A full list of compatible options can be found here.
Of course, the lightweight nature of the RS 3 Mini is really one of its main selling points. Tipping the scales at only 795g, it is 50% lighter than the RS 3 Pro, and 40% lighter than the RS 3. Aside from that, it also has Bluetooth shutter control, a “third generation stabilisation algorithm,” native horizontal and vertical switching, a 1.4-inch colour touchscreen, as well as up to 10 hours of use.
