Death Stranding Director’s Cut Coming to PS5 24 September for RM209 – RM50 to Upgrade From PS4

At PlayStation’s latest State of Play event, the release date of Death Stranding Director’s Cut for the PlayStation 5 has been revealed. Set to arrive on the next-gen system on 24 September, the PS5 version of the game brings a number of improvements.

Naturally, Death Stranding Director’s Cut is fully remastered and expanded for the PS5. These include new weapons, monsters, equipment, and even new storylines. I’m personally excited for more story content, which I consider to be the best part of the game.

Of course, there are a number of PS5-only enhancements as well. Death Stranding Director’s Cut will take advantage of the DualSense’s adaptive triggers and refined haptic feedback to deliver a more immersive experience, not to mention two graphics options: Performance Mode (upscaled 4K resolution at 60fps) and Fidelity Mode (native 4K). There’s even support for HDR and ultrawide aspect ratio.

You can also transfer your PS4 save of Death Stranding to the PS5; upgrading from the PS4 version costs only RM50 too for the Digital Deluxe Edition. The Standard Edition of the game, on the other hand, goes for RM209, but if you want the Digital Deluxe Edition instead, that will set you back RM249.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut will be available on the PlayStation 5 on 24 September 2021. If you’d like to learn more about the game, check out our review right here – it’s a bizarre game, but it’s also an absolute joy to play through.
