Acer is launching a slew of new products today, and one of the most exciting gaming laptops announced is the updated Acer Predator Triton 14. Yes, the compact Triton 300 SE now has a new name, and we actually spotted this new laptop in SIRIM’s database earlier this year – that’s right, it’s finally coming to Malaysia.
Under the hood of the new Predator Triton 14 are some capable hardware. It can be configured with a 13th gen Intel Core i7-13700H processor paired with up to 32GB of LPDDR5 6000MHz RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4070 or RTX 4050 GPU, as well as Intel Killer WiFi 6E AX1675i for fast wireless connectivity.
These hardware are all packed into a compact 14-inch chassis, which I find to be the Triton 14’s best quality; it strikes a good balance between portability and performance. Aside from that, it also features a 14-inch 2560 x 1600 mini-LED display with a fast 250Hz refresh rate and tall 16:10 aspect ratio.
The Acer Predator Triton 14 is set to be available in North America sometime in May with a $1,499 starting price; that comes up to about RM6,650. While the compact gaming laptop has been confirmed for the Malaysian market, we don’t know yet exactly when it will be sold here.
