Asus Zenfone Series Will Not Be Discontinued After All

Asus just released an official response to recent reports that the Taiwanese company is planning to cut its Zenfone lineup of smartphones, and it’s quite the statement. According to the company, it is simply “not true” – yes, in bold – that the Asus Zenfone product line will be shut down.

“We will continue our two main phone business product lines, the ROG Phone and the Zenfone. Asus has a strong commitment to our smartphone business and customers,” the company said in the press release. “Please stay tuned for our 2024 product lineups,” it added.

So there you have it: the Asus Zenfone series will not be discontinued. That’s a good thing, given that there aren’t many compact flagship phones in the market now. The latest Zenfone 10, for one, features a 5.9-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate alongside a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with up to 16GB of RAM.

Unfortunately, the Asus Zenfone series is still not offered as widely as the Taiwanese company’s range of ROG Phones. After all, here in Malaysia, we’ve got almost every iteration of the ROG Phone, while the last Zenfone device that was launched here was the Zenfone 8 series back in 2021.
