OLED displays on laptops are usually reserved for higher-end, more premium offerings, but the Asus VivoBook 15 OLED is not that at all. With a RM2,799 starting price, this is one of the most affordable laptops in the market now with an OLED panel – that’s quite a big selling point.
Three different variants of the VivoBook 15 are offered in Malaysia. The RM2,799 base model features an Intel Core i3-1115G4 processor paired with 4GB of RAM, 512GB of SSD storage, and Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics.
A tier up is the AMD Ryzen 5 5500U configuration of the VivoBook 15, which costs RM3,199. This variant comes with Radeon integrated graphics with twice the amount of RAM (8GB), though it retains the 512GB SSD. If you want more processing power, you can swap out the processor for a Ryzen 7 5700U chip for RM3,499.
Of course, the main highlight of the VivoBook 15 has to be its 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 OLED display. Not only does it offer vibrant colours and deep, true blacks – inherent characteristics of an OLED panel – it also has a peak brightness of 600 nits.
The Asus VivoBook 15 is now available for purchase in Malaysia. To recap, the Core i3 model costs RM2,799, while the Ryzen 5 5500U and Ryzen 7 5700U configurations go for RM3,199 and RM3,499 respectively.
