Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 Appears on Local Website; Launching in Malaysia This August

The Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 is a unique gaming machine, to say the least. Launched back in April, this laptop features two displays – one at the top, and another at the bottom. If you’ve been waiting for the arrival of the Duo 15 in Malaysia, good news: it just appeared on Asus Malaysia’s official website.

Of course, we reached out to Asus Malaysia regarding the local availability of the Zephyrus Duo 15, and we were told that the gaming laptop will in fact be launching here sometime in August next month. It makes sense, given that the ZenBook 13 and ZenBook 14 are already set to be introduced on our shores this month.

However, we don’t know which variant of the Zephyrus Duo 15 will be available in the Malaysian market, though there’s a good chance we’ll get (at the very least) the highest-end configuration. After all, the Zephyrus lineup is Asus’ premium offering; it only makes sense to bring in the range-topping model.

If Asus Malaysia does bring in the highest-end configuration of the Zephyrus Duo 15, it will be packing a fast Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super with Intel’s latest 10th generation Core i9-10980HK processor. Needless to say, these are two beefy hardware that will be able to deliver an excellent level of performance.

And then there are the two displays of the Zephyrus Duo 15. The 15.6-inch primary display – available in either 4K 60Hz or 1080p 300Hz – is Pantone Validated with Nvidia G-Sync support, while the secondary “ScreenPad Plus” panel above the keyboard is a 14.1-inch 3840 x 1100 touch-enabled display. It’s worth noting that the bottom screen also props up at an angle when the lid is opened, giving better visibility.

Despite sporting two displays – and some beefy hardware under the hood – the Zephyrus Duo 15 is still a surprisingly slim laptop. Its chassis measures only 20mm, which is really quite thin for a gaming machine as powerful as it is. That being said, tipping the scales at 2.4kg, this is not exactly a lightweight laptop.

Based on our conversation with Asus Malaysia, the Asus ROG Zephyrus Duo 15 is set to be launched in Malaysia sometime in August next month. Chances are, the Taiwanese company could be launching a number of other refreshed gaming laptops at the same time, including the Zephyrus M15 and Zephyrus S15; all of these are Intel-powered machines.
