CES 2022 is out in full swing, so expect a slew of new products from various companies. Asus, for one, just unveiled the Asus ROG Flow Z13. Touted as the “world’s fastest gaming tablet,” it’s quite a capable, portable gaming machine.
Thanks to its tablet form factor – which is similar to Microsoft’s Surface tablets – the Flow Z13 weighs only 1.1kg with a 12mm thin chassis. Despite its lightweight, slim design, it’s still a reasonably powerful machine. The Z13 can be configured with Intel’s latest 12th gen Alder Lake-H Core i9-12900H processor and an Nvidia RTX 3050 Ti GPU (35W TGP).
If you need more power, the Flow Z13 can be connected to Asus’ ROG XG Mobile external GPU enclosure. The new 2022 model now features an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT or RTX 3080 GPU, along with a number of connectivity options.
Other specifications of the Flow Z13 include a 13-inch touch-enabled display (either a 4K 60Hz or 1080p 120Hz panel option), up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of PCIe Gen4 SSD, a detachable keyboard case, an adjustable kickstand, as well as a 56Wh battery.
The price of the Asus ROG Flow Z13 has not been revealed yet, but given its premium appeal, there’s a good chance it will cost quite a bit. The gaming tablet is set to be available either in Q1 or Q2 2022.
