Aside from the range-topping ExpertBook B9, Asus Malaysia also introduced the Asus ExpertBook B5 (B5302C) and B5 Flip (B5302F) locally. Retailing from RM4,299, these two business-centric laptops are more affordable options than the B9.
Both the ExpertBook B5 and B5 Flip have two variants each for a total of four different models. Let’s start with the standard B5: the base model with an Intel Core i5-1135G7 processor and 256GB of SSD storage retails at RM4,299, while the higher-end Core i7-1165G7 configuration with a 512GB SSD costs RM5,199.
As for the ExpertBook B5 Flip, the Core i5-1135G7 variant costs RM4,999, while the Core i7-1165G7 model is priced at RM5,599; both of them feature a 512GB SSD.
Beyond the different processor – and SSD capacity for the base model of the regular B5 – these two ExpertBook laptops share very similar hardware. These include 8GB of RAM, Intel Iris Xe integrated graphics, a 42Wh battery, as well as a 13.3-inch 1920 x 1080 screen.
Of course, as its name suggests, the display of the ExpertBook B5 Flip is a little bit different. Not only is it touch-enabled, the B5 Flip itself is also a convertible laptop. Because of this, it does have a slightly different design than the regular B5.
The ExpertBook B5 and B5 Flip will arrive in Malaysia in the middle of August 2021 next month. The ExpertBook B5 retails from RM4,299, while the B5 Flip convertible business laptop starts at RM4,999.
