Apple’s big September launch is here! The first product unveiled at the event is the brand new Apple Watch Series 8, which sports a brighter screen, a temperature sensor, and even the ability to detect a crash.
Thanks to the brighter display, the Series 8’s screen should be more visible under bright sunlight. There are also new watchfaces for users to choose from, not to mention a new temperature sensor that can help women track their ovulation cycle; very nice.

Also new to the Series 8 is the ability to detect a car crash, which will only be active when you’re…well, driving. This is done in order to conserve battery life. Speaking of which, the Series 8 offers up to 18 hours of battery life, and it can be further extended to 36 hours in low power mode.
Pricing wise, the Apple Watch Series 8 starts at $399 (about RM1,795) for the GPS only model. The cellular version, on the other hand, goes for $499 (approximately RM2,245). No word yet on the Malaysian pricing of the new smartwatch, though we reckon it will be revealed very soon.
