At the virtual launch of the Proton Saga Anniversary Edition, the national carmaker also made a pretty big announcement: all Proton models now come with an N95 cabin filter. This makes Proton the first carmaker to offer such a feature here in Malaysia; that’s quite an achievement.
Proton models purchased after 9 July will be fitted with the new N95 cabin filter at no additional cost. These include the Iriz, Persona, Exora, and of course, the Saga as well. This cabin filter was first offered on the Proton X70, and it promises to provide a cleaner environment in the cabin.
But what if you’re an existing owner of either one of these four Proton models? Well, you can have the N95 filter retrofitted to your car. From now until 9 October, the filter can be purchased for only RM50.15, excluding labour charges. After that period of time, it will cost RM59 instead.
As mentioned, the N95 cabin filter is meant to improve air quality in the car’s cabin. According to Proton, this filter is capable of removing 95% of particles larger than 0.3 microns and 98% of PM2.5 dust particulates. It’s an effective barrier against smoke particulates, dust, bacteria, and other pollutants, as the carmaker puts it.
If you’re keen to fit the N95 cabin filter to your Proton car – provided you’re an owner of the four models mentioned here – you can book for an appointment to get it done over here.
