Intel’s latest 11th generation Rocket Lake desktop processors have just been announced, and Dell is quick to update two of its desktops with the new chips. These include the Dell XPS Desktop and Alienware Aurora R12 gaming rig, and both of them will be arriving in Malaysia very soon.
Let’s start with the Alienware Aurora R12. According to Dell, this gaming desktop will retail from RM6,699 in Malaysia. For that kind of money, you’re getting an 11th generation Core i5 processor paired with 16GB of RAM, 512GB + 1TB of storage, as well as an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 Ti GPU. All in all, a decent gaming rig.
As for the more affordable XPS Desktop, it starts at RM3,699 for the local market. The base model features a Rocket Lake Core i5 processor paired with 8GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, as well as a GTX 1650 Super GPU. While that’s not quite as powerful as the RTX 3060 Ti of the Alienware machine, you should still be able to game relatively well with the GTX 1650 Super of the XPS Desktop.
Of course, these are just the hardware for the base models of both desktops. Once the respective product listings of the XPS Desktop and Aurora R12 are up on Dell’s Malaysian online store by the end of this month, you will be able to configure the two desktops with more powerful hardware.
To recap, the Alienware Aurora R12 and Dell XPS Desktop will be available for purchase in Malaysia by the end of this month. For the Malaysian market, the Aurora R12 starts at RM6,699, while the XPS Desktop retails from RM3,699.
