The first AirPods Pro was released back in 2019, and we now have the 2nd generation model with a slew of improvements. Not only does the new AirPods Pro come with improved active noise cancellation (ANC), it also has longer battery life and touch controls.
According to Apple, the 2nd gen AirPods Pro features “up to double the noise-cancelling power” of its predecessor, thanks to the new H2 chip. Battery life has also been improved by 1.5 hours for a total of up to six hours of use with ANC activated. With the charging case, users can get up to 30 hours of total listening time.
Aside from that, the new AirPods Pro finally adds volume and media controls to the stem. The wireless earbuds is now packed with a new “low-distortion audio driver and custom amplifier” as well, which promises better bass and audio clarity. Oh, it comes with a new extra small ear tip too.
The 2nd generation AirPods Pro is priced at RM1,099 for the Malaysian market. Unfortunately, there’s no word yet on exactly when it will be available for purchase on our shores; we’ll be sure to keep a close eye on its local availability.
