Acer’s affordable gaming laptop has just been refreshed for the Malaysian market. Now sporting Intel’s 12th gen chips, the Acer Nitro 5 remains affordable with its RM4,399 starting price. On top of that, there are five different variants of the gaming laptop for our market.
Let’s start with the RM4,399 base model of the Nitro 5. It features a Core i5-12500H processor paired with 8GB of RAM, an RTX 3050 Ti GPU, 512GB of SSD storage, and a 15.6-inch 1080p IPS display with a 144Hz refresh rate. Reasonably good hardware for a laptop at this price point.
A tier up is the RM5,299 variant of the Nitro 5, which upgrades the CPU to a Core i7-12700H, but downgrades the GPU to an RTX 3050. Thankfully, it does feature more RAM at 16GB. Of course, you can upgrade the GPU to an RTX 3050 Ti, but this will set you back RM5,499.
Moving on, we have the fourth Nitro 5 variant. It retains the same hardware as the previous models, with the only difference being its more capable RTX 3060 GPU for RM5,999.
Last but not least is the range-topping Nitro 5, which comes with a number of upgrades. While it has the same Core i7-12700H processor, it has more RAM at 32GB, a large 1TB SSD, a powerful RTX 3070 Ti GPU, as well as a sharper, faster 15.6-inch QHD IPS display with a 165Hz refresh rate. These upgrades do cost quite a bit of money though at RM8,699.
The new Acer Nitro 5 is now available for purchase in Malaysia. If you want to get this gaming laptop at a discount, give Acer Malaysia’s It Lies Within roadshow a visit at Sunway Pyramid until 3 July; you can get up to RM150 cashback on the Nitro 5.
