Now this is quite the announcement! Hoyoverse just revealed that it is working on a Genshin Impact anime – even if this is only implied at the moment – with Ufotable, the studio behind the highly successful Demon Slayer anime.
The collaboration between Hoyoverse and Ufotable is dubbed a long-term project launch, which does heavily imply that an anime based on Genshin Impact is in the works. Shown alongside the announcement is the stunning trailer below.
Unfortunately, that’s all the information that was revealed by Hoyoverse, though fans certainly have their hopes up. After all, Ufotable is one of the most recognisable studios that is responsible for many high animes, including the aforementioned Demon Slayer and Fate series.
Evidently, Hoyoverse is expanding the Genshin Impact franchise beyond the (very) successful live service game. The Version 3.1 update will be dropping on 28 September as well – check out our coverage on the update here to learn more about it.
