POCO Launches X8s in Malaysia, Starting From RM1,399

POCO has launched the X8s in Malaysia, adding a compact all-rounder to the X Pro Series that squeezes a large battery and a telephoto camera into a compact form factor.

At 8.06mm thick and 187g, the X8s is a fair bit smaller than most phones with a battery this size. It has a micro-curved aluminium frame, a glass back and a camera module that matches the body colour. It comes in Blue, White and Black, with the Black version getting a black-silver design.

The 6.35-inch 1.5K AMOLED display uses an M10 panel with up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness and ultra-thin 1.18mm bezels. It is also POCO’s first to feature a 1 to 120Hz Adaptive refresh rate Pro, which scales the refresh rate dynamically to save power. Triple TÜV Rheinland eye-care certifications are included, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor supports wet-touch and press-and-slide enrollment.

The triple camera setup is led by a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS, joined by an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP 2.5x telephoto, a first for the X Pro Series.

Performance is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, with the POCO 3D IceLoop cooling system keeping thermals in check during heavier tasks. The 6,330mAh battery contains 16% silicon, and charging is handled by 100W HyperCharge, with 22.5W wired reverse charging for topping up other devices. The X8s is also rated IP68 for dust and water resistance and has dual speakers.

The POCO X8s is available now in Malaysia on mi.com and POCO’s official storefronts on Shopee, Lazada and TikTok Shop. From 10 to 25 November, the 8GB and 256GB variant is priced at RM1,399, down from RM1,899, while the 12GB and 512GB model is RM1,699, down from RM2,099.
